Wagyu Stone

  • Wagyu Stone from Vancouver Island (Thanks for the name Steve!). This is a piece cut in half showing beautifully colored jasper-carbonate material that looks remarkably similar to Wagyu Beef. This location has an amazing array of colors available but no material available for sale as of yet. Table-sized pieces can be found at this location and it is quarry-able.

About 9 inches tall.
Each piece about 5 inches across.

Cosmic Stone! This one reminds me of deep space with stars and nebulas etc. About 11 inches long.
Such a range of colors with this one having green, yellow, and white. This one is polished but it doesn’t come out to a high gloss, but would make a really nice table. I am not familiar with this color combination in rock.
Another nice green, yellow, and white cut pair about 7 inches across.
This stone could be called Gourd Stone as the colors and textures are not too far off on this screen shot.
I have worked this photo a bit on the computer but wanted to show the color range clearly. One of my favorite color combinations from this site. About 8 to 9 inch piece.

Also gets into the pink range. I have carved this piece, smoothing out the edges making it a nice display piece.
Rich reds and whites on green. Dramatic piece about 8 inches long.
One of the first rocks I ever carved and is from the Wagyu site. About 3 to 4 inches across. Yes, it was for the lady!
